How the VA is Failing its Patrons

I've always been a fan of the VA. Their missteps in in 2007 seemed out of place. America loved thier veterans. But I have reconsidered the value of the VA. Here is my twitter rant:

1/ my VA PCM referred me to the psychiatrist. "you want help? i wash my hands" Veterans With PTSD Hit Pot Underground http://t.co/q8VblxeFk6

2/but i only had to resort to indica when he denied my request for a maintenance dose of klonopin for three weeks until my scheduled appt.

3/requested maintenance dose the day of the scheduling appointment "i'm running out; just need maintenance prescription until i see you"

4/denied. with no courtesy call back. "sorry, but we can't b'cause we have so many no shows after refilling narcotic meds."

5/never missed a VA appointment. never cancelled a VA appointment. never rescheduled a VA appointment. always 15 minutes early.

6/spent two weeks waiting for the drug that kept me on an even keel. it never arrived. what was i supposed to do? find an alternative.

7/that alternative was a small dose of organically farmed indica for a week to keep me on an even keel. and for that, i am a pariah.

9/although the VA is technically responsible for the care of my service related injuries, i'm moving to tricare. copays be damned.
